Term 3! Week 2!!!!!!

On Monday, we had Monday morning assembly, and I had to do A.V, so I left before Mrs Crowe marked the roll, and marked absent. we also did running, but my heels were sore the whole week, so I didn't try very hard. On Tuesday we had music tech arts, and learned about Bob Marley and reggae music. We also learned Bob Marley's song 'Three little birds'. On Wednesday my dudes, I can't remember what we did except for team Cross Country. On Thursday, I had robotics then we had the college expo which was lit. On Friday, We had Tech again, and learned about blues music, slaves, and negro sales. After than we had whole school cross country.

Term 2! Week 8!!!!!!!!

On, Monday, we did a apostrophe test and I learnt about apostrophes. On Tuesday, we had our second tech art cafe practice, but I failed because I for got to put in the baking soda, so all of the ingredients just sat on the bottom of the cake and it didn't rise or be all fluffy like its supposed to be. On Wednesday, I can't remember what we learnt. On Thursday, we had robotics and learnt about vex robotics and stuff. On Friday, we had our cafe and I actually made my pumpkin chocolate cake properly except I put baking powder in instead of baking soda, but that didn't really matter because it was still fluffy and nice.

term 2 week 4!!!!!

On Monday, we watched a video about volleyball and recapped on how to bump and volley properly. On Tuesday, we did our first food tech arts lesson and we learnt how to make crispy cheese rolls and dip sticks. on Wednesday, we had french and recapped on how to say the weather and stuff. On Thursday, I didn't have guitar, but in robotics we made another track for our sphero's to go around. On Friday we had our second food tech arts session and learnt how to make focaccia bread which was delicious. Also I had Basketball for Friday sport and made three 3 point shots in a row although Mrs German keep telling me to pass cause I would run the point which means I was bringing the ball up the court every time.    

Term 2 Week 1!!

this week I learned about bases and acids in science. Bases are in things like bleach, Handy Andy and egg. bases are basically things that clean or bleach and have a PH level from 7.1-14. Acids are in things like tomato sauce, chocolate milk and coke. Acids are used to dissolve metals and have a PH level of 6.9-0. When Acids and Bases in powder form get mixed together with water or a substance with water in it they basically do what happens when you drop a bath bomb in a bath.

Term 2 week 2!!!!

On Monday, we recapped on expressions which basically are equations without the =, so instead of working the problem out you just simplify it cause its impossible to work out. On Tuesday, we had our second to last tech arts session; we learnt how to make and made sherbet. Also we got our bath bomb from last weeks sessions. On Wednesday, I can't remember what I learnt so yeah. On Thursday, we had robotics and learnt how to program the sphero round a track that has at least 5 corners. On Friday it was pouring down with rain, but that is irrelevant. Anyway on Friday we had our last tech arts session and made soap for our mums.

Term 1!

In term 1 I had testing. In maths I got a stanine nine which is good because at the start of last year I only got a stanine seven. In reading a got  stanine seven and I can't remember my other results. In term 1 they choose the house captains and class counselors. I didn't go for them because I didn't want to do public speaking and I didn't want to be a leader and give up my lunch times. In soft materials tech arts I recapped on how to straight and zig zag stitch and I learnt how to make slippers, a beanie and a jersey. In science tech arts we've only made slime and soap, but we've been learning about atoms and molecules. last week we learnt how to separate salt water into salt and water. The next tech art we're doing is food tech arts I think. Food is my favorite tech arts. I don't really know what else to write about because I wrote about them in my other blog posts so yeah bye. week 9 Term 1! Camp!

On Monday, we went to Zealandia and learnt about birds especially endemic, introduced and native birds. Endemic means they live only in New Zealand, Introduced means they were never native or endemic to New Zealand they were brought here by other people and Native means they live here naturally and also live other places in the world naturally. The main point of Zealandia is to keep mammals away from the birds to create a safe place for the birds that's why they have meter high fences above the ground and a little below the ground with a roof on top. They also have a dam going through the middle of Zealandia. After Zealandia we went to the nation holocaust center to learn more about the holocaust and a survivor of the holocaust talked to us. After the holocaust we went to weta workshop to learn about intense make up. On Tuesday,  we went to a space place and learnt about space then went on a cable car. after we got of the cable car we went to parliament and learnt about that then went to learn about the waihene disaster. On Wednesday, We did ONTV  and android app creator where we learnt how to make apps and do tv shows then we went to H20 extreme. On Thursday, we went to the zoo then went snorkeling. On Friday, we traveled home.
 

Week 6 & 7 Term 1!!!!!

In week 6 in maths I learned to add and subtract integers. to add a positive and a positive it equals a positive and adding a negative and a negative it equals a negative and when adding a negative and a positive the biggest number is what it equals. To subtract integers you use the same rules as addition but change the sign of the minus to adding and the sign of the last number. In reading I learned about the holocaust and how the Nazis killed millions of people because of their ways or beliefs.  In writing I learned where to correctly put commas like in front of a fanboy and after the first phase of a sentence if it starts with a awubis word. In week 7 in maths I learned to multiply integers. To multiply integers a positive and a positive equals a positive and a negative and a negative equals a positive. a positive and a negative equals a negative and a negative and a positive equals a negative.

week 5 term 1 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last week I learned in maths toidentify factors, primes and prime factors. So I was doing this thing where I had to find the prime numbers of a number then use powers and mulitiply the prime factors together. At first it was really hard, but then I got used to it and it got easier. I also learned in robotics what bits ore, or bidinary digits. In computers there are only 0s and 1s so to get bigger numbers like 3 for instance you have to go 11 which  is three because the first 1 is 2 and the second 1 is 1 and if it was 100 that would be 4 because you always double the number. In guitar I re-caped on cords like C and F. Thats all I can think of right now so yeah bye.  

Term 1 Week 4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello fellow pupils,
last week I re-caped on place value. the place value of the 5 in 65437 is 1000s the total value is 5000 the face value is 5 and the total number of 1000s is 65.437. in Tech Arts last week I learnt how to weave and cut out shapes for my jersey. I also learnt how to sew the inside of a letter. I also Learnt lots about the grand canyon, because it's my topic for my wonders of the world task. I also learnt a lot about the lights in the hall like how to use them and set them up. I cant think of anything else I learnt so, yeah I'ma leave you with a  quote from  Nelson Mandela 'May your choices reflect your hopes, not your fears'.  

Week 3 Term 1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last week we re caped on our growth mindset. I couldn't do much cause I was injured so missed out on WIMS Cricket trials and inter house danish rounders, but we still got to the finals.  I also trialed for CCBA Under 15s and the coach Jeff Green asked me to play for frazer college but i turned it down cause I'm playing for TAC. I didn't do much after school cause it was raining so yeah.
